The Nissan IM is one of the coolest cars ever conceived, and here is a little article about it!

Concept cars are famous for their unique styling, features, and technology. One of the best showcases of just how impressive concept cars can be is the Nissan IMs concept car!  This concept car is interesting because it incorporates technology that was not even thought of during the time this concept car rolled out.

The Nissan IMs features a fully digital dashboard, automatic parallel parking, yaw control, and more! All these features are truly cutting edge.  But, as usual with concept cars, the design is what’s really noteworthy. The IMs look like a little spaceship! It has sleek curves and slits that provide great ventilation to keep you cool.

The tech inside the car is truly impressive as well!  The IMs have the capability of using gestures to control different features! You can wave your hand in front of the windshield or swivel your wrist to change the music.  This might seem a bit excessive now, but who knows? As technology continues to advance, it’s very possible that these features will become standard!

The Nissan IMs Engine

The engine is very impressive as well! The 4-wheel drive car runs off of hydrogen. It has a range of about 240 miles, but when it runs low on hydrogen, you can easily top it up in less than 5 minutes at any fueling station!

The engine is truly a revolution in design. It offers much more performance than an average fuel engine does. The hydrogen cylinders are stacked in two vertical columns, which is very smart because it opens up much more room for the passengers!

The car has a twin-clutch system to transfer power between the front and back wheels. This cuts down on unnecessary slippage when you turn, making this concept car much easier to handle!

How this can impact the next generation of cars

This concept car is truly a glimpse into the future of cars!  It has lots of unique features that will surely push the limits. In time, it’s very possible that this kind of technology will be standard in all cars!

Things like new engine types,  electronic gadgets, etc. are all examples of what concept cars can do when manufacturers push the boundaries! The technology in this car is truly impressive because it will make traveling much more convenient for drivers everywhere!

That’s why the IMs have been called “the future of driving!” It’s a glimpse into what cars are capable of doing in years to come.   

Will you be able to buy the IMs?

Although this concept car is truly amazing, it will sadly not be sold to the general public.  It was made specifically for the Tokyo Motor Show in order to showcase technologies that Nissan wants to bring into its fleet of cars. So, you won’t see this unique ride on the streets anytime soon!  In fact, sometimes cars from a show like this never go past being a one-of-a-kind prototype or design exercise.   This means that you’ll have to wait several years before you can experience a similar kind of technology in a new production model! But if you’re very patient and willing to spend thousands on a dream car, maybe someday you’ll get your hands on something quite similar!

Nissan really thought outside of the box with this model of their IMs concept cars. All of the features and tech integrated into this one make it by far one of the most futuristic concept cars ever built!  It’s truly a great showcase of the high levels today’s gear can reach. I’m sure we will be seeing more and more innovations like this in the future!
